The motto of our welcoming kitchen brigade is "Event Cuisine" where you can experience new dishes daily in our three non-smoking restaurants "Allgäuer Stube", Schweizer Stube" and the "Walser Stube".||After a relaxing and peaceful night you can enjoy the varied breakfast buffet between 7.30 and 10.00 a.m. Then you can explore the Kleinwalsertal on foot or skis at all times of the year. From midday our guests are offered a complimentary soup that will give you energy for the afternoon's activities.||The restaurant and the chefs invite you to partake of the evening buffet from 6.30 to 8.30 p.m. You will be really spoilt with the regional and international cuisine. Every Friday there is a Gala Buffet with choice dishes to round off your stay.||Our bar is open daily from 11.00 am to midnight or you can enjoy yourself in the Achter'l bar with a glass of wine or beer. Open from 6 p.m. to 2 p.m.|||
The IFA Hotel Alpenrose has 100 rooms all of which are equipped with shower, toilet, minibar, radio, satellite tv, telephone, hair dryer, room safe which can be used without charge and mostly having a balcony or terrace.||We offer the following categories:||Standard Double Room (approx. 18 sq.m) - view to the mountains||Comfort Double Room (approx 20 sq.m) view to the valley|
|There is no pressure- we invite you to join a guided walk, slide shows, fitness activities or evening entertainment such as bingo or live music. In winter we also offer torch-light walks, tobogganing and après-ski. It is also possible to connect to the internet from your own laptop without any extra charge.||There is always something going on in the Achter'l Bistro between 6 p.m. until 2 a.m.|Here you can meet both locals and guests. Dine on dishes cooked on our unique hot stones, or join in the singing - no one is alone for long!||All holidaymakers will find their pleasure in the friendly atmosphere of the Hotel Alpenrose. For those for whom this is still not enough it is only a few steps to the bars and night-clubs and alpine huts. Whosoever wants to risk their Euros goes to the casino in Riezlern.||

How to arrive
Mittelberg lies at 1215 meters and is the highest and oldest place in the Kleinwalsertal which due to its geographical situation can only be reached by car from Germany.||Coming from Oberstdorf in the Allgäu you pass through Riezlern and Hirschegg and then through a few small villages - the 2,000 meter mountains close in and the valley is cut off from the outside world. The lack of through traffic guarantees peace and relaxation.||This does not mean that nothing happens in the Kleinwalsertal! On the contrary - après-ski for all tastes is assured by the many cafés, huts and other places, including a vivid night-life. Many shops and restaurants complete the picture.||Mittelberg in the snow is a real experience for winter sport enthusiasts. There are many pistes in the surrounding area where all skiers can test their skills. There are also many sledging and cross-country skiing possibilities in and around Mittelberg. We are happy to organise the Ski School and equipment hire for you
Most of the routes to the hotel meet in Ulm and then follow the A7 to the Autobahn junction Allgäu (Kempten) in the direction of Oberstdorf - exit Waltenhofen.||From the exit the well maintained road B19 continues towards Oberstdorf via Sonthofen and then on into the Kleinwalsertal.||On leaving Oberstdorf you pass through the villages of Riezlern and Hirschegg until you come to the IFA Hotel Alpenrose on the right of the Walserstrasse.|||
