The hotel dates back to 1820 when it was formerly a coaching inn and is exquisitely full of charm and character. The hotel is ideally located in the centre of Gloucester only a five-minute walk from the Cathedral, shopping centre and the national waterways museum in Gloucester Docks. Gloucester has a wealth of historical sites to visit many of which date back to Roman times. The Cotswolds, Cheltenham, The Forest of Dean and Wye Valley, Tewkesbury and the Severn estuary are all within 30 minutes' drive. The nearest airports are Bristol Airport (76 km) and Coventry Airport (95 km) and Gloucester bus and train station is a 15-minute walk away.
