Positive: We stay during our honeymoon trip and the staff left us a sweet message and a plate of chocolate and strawberries!! We loved it
Negative: Room was a bit tight but we weren’t there a lot so it really didn’t matter.
Positive: Location was great. The apartment was clean and spacious. Everything you need for a stay in Cork
Negative: The shower is old and puts water out on the floor of the bathroom. Did not like having to haul a weeks worth of luggage up 5 flights of stairs for the unit we stayed in.
Positive: The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well appointed and the TV has a number of pre-loaded apps including netflix and disney plus if you have your own account. The attached Restaurant has excellent service and does a very good breakfast buffet with optional a la carte menu. I didn't get a chance to try their dinner menu as they are closed on Sunday evenings but I will definitely give it a go next time I'm in town.
Negative: The room is a little on the small side, not cramped but smaller than suggested by the pictures. The guest WiFi connection is VERY slow, even late at night when it shouldn't be heavily contested. If you plan to work from your room, bring your own hotspot. The advertised included tea and coffee are hidden in the wardrobe along with the laptop safe and ironing board. I didn't find them until I was checking I hadn't left anything behind when I checked out!
Positive: The bed is amazingly comfortable. The food area and bar was gorgeous. The breakfast was fantastic
Negative: The location is extremely noisy. The handicap room (accidentally booked) has just an open bathroom with no shower door. There was no ac though the front brought us an extra fan it still stayed very warm.We were woke up at 2am by engine backfires which was almost funny because we thought it was gunfire.
Positive: Beauty and nature- the most beautiful breakfast room I have ever seen!!
Negative: No AC
Positive: Great location, Bar, restaurant and staff were fantastic.
Positive: It was in a good location.
Negative: Something went wrong with the plumbing so we didn't have hot water the first night. After that the temperature was fixed but the water was coming out brown. The desk suggested just needed to run the water. After 40 minutes we chose to just risk it and take our showers. Ultimately we elected to pay a little extra to start our trip off at a nicer hotel but looking back I probably would have chosen to stay elsewhere at a lower price point.
Positive: We so enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Isaacs Cork City! The historic hotel is located in the heart of downtown Cork and a beautifully renovated area. The staff were friendly and attentive. There was a wonderful restaurant connected to the hotel and right next door, as well as a bar, outdoor seating, and a lovely garden. We enjoyed our stay in Cork - a beautiful city with a welcoming and inclusive vibe. We enjoyed seeing the many attractions in the area including day trips to Cobh and to the stunningly beautiful Ring of Kerry. We also enjoyed walking around the city of Cork - accessible from the hotel. We appreciated the kind and genuine hotel staff providing recommendations on where to visit - we especially enjoyed the Marina Market. The hotel is lovely and beautifully kept. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We had a great experience at the Hotel Isaacs Cork City and would definitely visit again!
Negative: Truly this was a lovely hotel - we enjoyed our experience very much!
Positive: Staff was great and rooms were clean!
Positive: Friendly knowledgeable staff
Negative: Lack of parking options knowledge prior to arriving
Positive: The room was very nice. Spacious. Water in the room was a nice touch. Staff very friendly. Handled a prior customer who was mean to the staff very well.
Negative: No A/C in the room.
Positive: Location was excellent. Nice bar and restaurant. Comfortable bed
Negative: Cobbled entrance is lovely but not practical for guests with wheeled luggage.
Positive: Great staff- esp Chris and Patrick.
Negative: Very hot but that was due to the sun and staff were lovely about giving us three fans!
Positive: The front desk staff was THE WORST (2 young men)! Rude, dismissive, and unwilling to help in any way. There was NO working AC on the top floor in July, even though the room had a unit. When asked about how I was unaware of the non-working AC, the answer was "we don't advertise that". There was a large round window that had no shade, resulting in additional heat and full sunlight in the morning. The parking is 2 blocks away from the hotel and difficult to access. With NO help from the desk clerks to meet at front of hotel for luggage drop-off, you need to walk from garage to hotel with said luggage (uphill/downhill/pitted roads).
Positive: The room was spacious and comfortable. Great location. Staff was very helpful and friendly, especially Francesca, who always had a smile and was willing to help out with recommendations
Negative: Room didn't have AC, I had two fans...but it was a bit hot. Apparently, this is not always the case. There was a heat wave...
Positive: Loved the breakfast area with the waterfall outside in the courtyard area. Our room was very spacious.
Negative: No AC it was a bit humid in the rooms.
Positive: Our room was beautiful, comfortable, a good size. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was great, lots of restaurants and pubs on our street, an easy walk from the Kent Station, and into the city center across the Lee River. The hotel entrance opens to a large alley with outdoor restaurant seating, with a waterfall/garden at the end. The glass walled elevator is exterior, with a view of the waterfall.
Negative: Can't think of anything.
Positive: Friendly and helpful staff, location, facilities on site. Very good breakfast
Negative: Bedroom a bit warm during night. Small complaint
Positive: The place was comfortable and clean—tucked away on a narrow two-way street in a very central location. It’s close to many cafes, restaurants, pubs, and a launderette, and just minutes from the shopping center. I stayed in one of their apartments, which was very spacious and featured an excellent soaking tub along with a shower. There was plenty of space for toiletries, and the windows opened wide, letting in fresh air and light. The entrance was gorgeous, and the staff were kind and welcoming. However, the hallways and lift looked a bit rundown.
Negative: There’s no parking on site. You have to park down the street at a parking garage.
Positive: First, the location was perfect, it was close to the bus station, bus stops, SPAR, and the main town. Second, the staff was incredibly helpful and kind! They made my friend and I's experience perfect while in Cork. We dropped our bags off at noon and checked in right at three which was super convenient. My friend actually got sick over the trip and wasn't able to explore Cork with us, so she stayed in the comfy room and the staff even extended our checkout.
