Mansfield Castle Hotel (formerly Mansfield House) is an attractive country house hotel which was build in the 1870¿s and substantially extended in 1902 retains many of its fine original features including a wealth of pine panelling and ornate plaster ceilings. Rooms are furnished to an excellent standard offering comfort and luxury. Public areas are warm and welcoming offering a choice of two restaurants and friendly service. All Rooms have been recently refurbished; rooms in the Victorian part of the house have been furnished to a deluxe standard.
Local produce is always used and everything served is made by hand. The Highlands of Scotland offer the finest venison, poultry, game, wild salmon, trout and the freshest vegetables picked from hotel's garden.
Most of the sumptuous and spacious bedrooms have a view over the castle's surroundings, the Moray Firth on the south-eastern side and the Dornach Firth to the North East. The rooms all come with an en suite bathroom with hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV, and a radio and Internet access. Each room has its own unmistakable character, and guests will be greeted with a sherry-filled carafe on arrival. A fleecy Mansfield soft-toy can be left outside the door and will be interpreted by staff as a 'Do not disturb' sign.

How to arrive
The castle is located in the Royal Burgh of Tain, in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. It is an ideal base from which to take advantage of the many activities on offer in the area, such as fishing in the loch, whisky tasting and dolphin and seal watching. The cities of Inverness and Dornach are less than an hour away. In Dornach there are numerous golf courses, such as the famous Dornach links.
