How to arrive
One of the joys of staying at Nira Alpina, a glass-and-timber-built mountain sanctuary just five kilometers away from the popular resort town of St. Moritz, is being able to ski right up to the entrance. Sitting atop the village of Silvaplana it is the gateway to some of Switzerland?s highest mountains, including Corvatsch, the highest mountain in the upper Engadin skiing region. There are 120 kilometers of ski runs rushing down the slopes towards Silvaplana Lake, right in the middle of the mountain range. The surrounding hills and lakes also have summer appeal, with hiking and biking trails, windsurfing, sailing and canoeing all on offer. From the Nira Alpina you?re within easy reach of them all, and with a private glassed-in covered walkway leading straight to the Corvatsch cable car, guests have stylish and convenient access to the slopes.
