The Hotel Pension Rotspitz is a lovely mountain lodge with 50 non-smoking guest rooms. After a long day climbing, hiking, or skiing, guests can relax with time in the sauna or jacuzzi, a steam bath, or a massage. The restaurant offers both international dishes and regional specialties, with a special emphasis on organic ingredients and vegetarian options. There?s also a hotel bar, a TV room, a reading lounge, a playground, meeting rooms, and a ski storage room. The pension is in the town of Eben am Achensee, approx. 1 km/0.6 mile from the Rohan cable car (called the Rofan Seilbahn in German). It offers easy access to the ski slopes in winter and stunning views in the summer. From the Hotel Pension Rotspitz it?s a 10 minute walk to the shores of the Achensee (sometimes called Lake Achen or Lake Achensee in English), a popular destination for sailing and surfing. Other local attractions include the steam engines that run on the Achenseebahn narrow-gauge railway in the summertime, the 16th-century Church of St. Notburga and the Notburga Museum, and the Achensee Golf Club.
