Inspired by the timeless beauty of the Atlantic coast, the hotel seeks to embrace rather than compete with nature. Its bold design, sleek lines and elegantly simple interiors focus attention outwards on the historical and natural elements of the surrounding landscape and the drama and romance of the ocean. The blue of the sea and sky combine with the yellows and greens of the wild flowers and trees to touch the senses, while contemporary sculpture and paintings by Portuguese artists provide an extra flavour. Built in 2010, the air-conditioned establishment comprises a total of 142 guest rooms and welcomes guests in a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out service. Facilities on offer to guests include a hotel safe, currency exchange facilities, lift access, a newspaper stand, games room and a TV lounge. Guests may dine in the café or restaurant and sip their favourite drink in the bar. Business guests are sure to appreciate the conference facilities. Furthermore, Internet access, room and laundry services, a car park, a garage and bicycle hire are provided.
During their stay guests will be able to enjoy numerous dining experiences including a gourmet dining room, a sushi bar, tea lounge and casual restaurant with open air terrace. The full service destination spa, inspired by the ocean, will use natural and organic treatment products and offers a holistic wellness approach. There will be 10 treatment rooms, an indoor and outdoor seawater swimming pool and steam and sauna with views out to the preserved dunes.

The guest rooms all have a private balcony or terrace with views of the ocean or golf course. There are 16 suites which are all large and spacious, and have an area of at least 64 square metres. All of the standard rooms feature air conditioning, central heating, a minibar, free in-room safe, 2 flat screen televisions with cable channels and in-house movies, robes and slippers and high-speed Internet access. The en suite bathrooms are fitted with a shower, bath and a hairdryer. Rooms with either double or king-size beds are available. A direct dial telephone, radio and a hi-fi also come as standard.
Guests may take a refreshing dip in the heated indoor saltwater swimming pool or relax on the sun terrace with parasols laid out for use. Refreshments are served at the poolside snack bar. For additional fees guests may take part in aerobics sessions, play paddle tennis, tennis or golf, and go biking. How to arrive
The hotel is located just 20 minutes west of Lisbon overlooking the western Atlantic coastline. The Sintra Mountains and Europe's most westerly point, Cabo da Roca, can be seen from its setting along the Estoril coast. The bus and railway stations and the beach are roughly 5 km away. The hotel also overlooks the Oitavos Dunes golf course, surrounded by a natural environment, yet it is only 20 minutes from Lisbon Portela Airport (approximately 35 km).
