It’s an original Portuguese country house that has been renovated to combine a modern style with traditional architecture and features
Formerly a family home and farm, it sits on ten hectares of land, with its own orchard, vegetable and herb gardens
In spring it is abundant with wild flowers growing among almond, carob and olive trees
The cleverly-designed gardens were created by a noted local landscaper
Simple and romantic, they surround the house and annexes
A series of paths lead you to undiscovered, wilder areas where you can reflect and relax and study the bird life
Shady areas are perfect for settling down with a great book
The gardens are tranquil, calm and simply planted, and complement the house and its leisurely ambience

How to arrive
From the motorway A22
Take the A22 in the direction of junction 15 (Olhão)
Exit here
At the roundabout take
the exit for Sta
Catarina
Follow for a few meters, then at the next junction turn right towards the small village
of Foupana
Follow this road (EM514) for around 5
4km, you will see a sign saying “Tavira Concelho"
on your right and an old drystone wall on your left
Follow the wall and you will see Fazenda Nova set back on the land, the road curves round
till you reach our grey entrance walls and brown gates
