How to arrive
The city hotel is located on the south side of Edinburgh, next to Holyrood Park and Arthur's Seat, and a 25-minute walk from Princess Street shops or the Royal Mile. Waverly train station and St. Andrews Square bus station are both around 3.2 km from the conference hotel, and links to the public transport network can be found on the main road, just a 5-minute walk away. Guests will find restaurants and bars on-site and nightlife around a 15-minute walk away. Other nearby places of interest include Edinburgh Castle (2.4 km), the Scottish Parliament (800 m), Portobello Beach (9.6 km), Dalkeith Country Park (11 km) and Water of Leith (8 km). The Hillend ski area is approximately a 30-minute drive from the city hotel and Edinburgh Airport is around 12 km away.
From the airport: take the Airport Shuttle Bus to the city terminal on Waverly Bridge. From the city, take the bus to Royal Commonwealth Pool or Dalkeith Road (bus numbers 14, 30, 33, 86). By car: from the A270 City of Edinburgh Bypass, take the A7 Old Dalkeith Road exit towards the city centre. Just past the Royal Commonwealth Pool at the lights turn right onto Holyrood Park Road. Pollock Halls is the second turning on the right.
