Out & About

Gandia has 7km of beautiful sandy beaches. These are divided into different zones depending on the profile of each visitor. Some are smaller and familiar, some have dunes and others offer a wide range of water sports. A good option is a walk along the beach to the lighthouse to admire stunning views of the Grao. In addition, both in the southern and northern part of the city there are other beaches worth visiting. In the northern part of the city you'll find the beach of Ahuir, where the last dunes left in Gandia are preserved. Xeraco beach is the closest to the city, and it extends into the Tavernes beach. In the south you'll find the beach of Daimuz. Farther south there is the beach of Oliva, full of dunes and visited mostly by the lovers of water sports. Its structure includes the large inner courtyard and the Golden Gallery. In the historic center, another important building is the Old University. The Colagiata was built on an ancient Muslim mosque. The Torreón del pino, a big tower with a pine, is part of the old city wall and is located near calle Mayor. On the other hand, outside the city, you can go along the route of the monasteries starting in Gandia and ending in Alzira.
