This historic 15th-century coaching inn rose to national pre-eminence in the great age of coach travel, with as many as 100 coaches a day coming into the town. It was the official staging post for the famous Manchester Flier. Wolverhampton railway station is approximately 10 km away and Milton Keynes bus station is some 16 km from the hotel. London Luton Airport is approximately 54 km from the hotel and Cardiff Airport is some 66 km away. By car: from the north on the M1, exit at junction 15. Turn right at the roundabout onto the A508 to Milton Keynes. Continue on this road until reaching Roade. Take a right at the next roundabout and follow the A508 until reaching the Old Stratford roundabout. Take the second exit into Old Stratford through the traffic lights. Continue down this road into Stony Stratford. Turn right, signposted Town Centre, onto High Street. The hotel is on the left-hand side.
