This country house is set on 20 acres of Northumberland countryside and overlooks the Derwent Valley. It has 48 rooms in total, including five suites spread across 2 floors. A lobby, 24-hour check-out service, a cloakroom, lift access, a bar, a restaurant, and room and laundry services are all provided. The hotel also has several conference rooms capable of accommodating up to 300 persons. For this reason the hotel is a very popular wedding venue. Parking facilities are available to guests arriving by car.
By Car: From the South, take the A1 (M) followed by the A68 north-west, which leads directly to the hotel (approx. 35 km). From the A69, linking Carlisle to Newcastle-upon-Tyne take the A68 south-east directly to the hotel (approx. 15 km).
Guinevere's restaurant offers English and continental à la carte cuisine in luxurious surroundings, while the Grouse and Claret Bar offers the warmth of a country pub with a full range of bar meals and snacks.
All of the spacious double bedrooms contain one or two double beds, while many enjoy stunning views overlooking the Northumberland countryside.
