The Art Hotel Guala Residence is set in the heart of Mirafiori, in the southern part of Turin; it was designed in the 1960s, when the transferral of the Fiat plant from Lingotto to the new Mirafiori plant created the need for an authentic urban addition which could accommodate the considerable flow of workers from all regions of Italy.
Over forty years later, the Mirafiori quarter has become an extremely attractive commercial and residential area, well connected to the city centre by the tramway line 4 which crosses Turin from north to south, and, in the near future, the underground which links the east and west parts of the city.
