Alexandra Hotel

Positive: Nice authentic hotel & well situated. We booked a Deluxe room at the Hotel Alexandra for 2 nights in the weekend. Upgrading from normal to Deluxe made it quite a bit more expensive, and since I havenŽt seen the normal rooms IŽm not sure if it was worth it... but the rooms were very nice in an old classic Italian style, large rooms, big bed, big bathroom, a little balcony facing the interior (no noise from traffic!). Reception was friendly, everything was clean and well kept, and breakfast was gorgeous (nice surprise since our booking with atrapalo said "solo alojamiento"). The hotel is situated in the northern part of the center in a fancy neighbourhood, next to a metro-station, and with fairly short walking distance to most of the attraction sites. The only negative experience was the mattress witch was quite hard and old (nicely bent in the middle after having received a bit too many guests) and a noisy heating/ air-conditioning system.
