Housed in what was originally a 19th Century schoolhouse, this comfortable hotel has a friendly club atmosphere. The schoolroom now has a comfortable conservatory restaurant attached and the hotel comprises a total of 70 rooms. How to arrive
This hotel is located on the Shropshire border, on the fringe of the West Midlands conurbation. The famous Himley Hall Park and lake are located across the main road from the hotel, within easy walking distance. A bus stop is directly opposite the hotel with direct buses to the village of Womborne, just 2 km away, where guests will find restaurants and shops. It is ideally placed for speedy access to Dudley (12 minutes' drive approximately), Wolverhampton (11 minutes' drive) or Stourbridge. The beautiful Shropshire countryside lies to the west of the hotel and makes this an ideal base from which to discover the area and its attractions, including the Red House Glass Cone (just under 5 km), the Black Country Living Museum (9.6 km), the Castle Hill Railway - Bridgenorth (a 28-minute drive) and the Ironbridge Museums (43 minutes' drive). Birmingham International Airport is just 54 km from the hotel.
Guests arriving by car should follow the B4176 from Dudley. At the traffic light junction with the A449, turn right onto A449 towards Wolverhampton. Turn left into School Road at the traffic lights after the Dudley Arms. The hotel is on the right.
