Situated in the Norrmalm neighborhood of Stockholm, the Hellsten 4-star hotel near Stockholm Observatory Museum is also nearby the Church of Adolf Fredrik. Additional nearby points of interest include Royal Swedish Opera. Recreational amenities at Hotel Hellsten include a sauna and a fitness facility. No restaurant is available but breakfast is served in a glass conservatory to the rear of the building. A cozy bar, with dark wood and black and white photographs, often hosts local jazz artists in the evenings.
The building dates from 1898, and offers a traditional Stockholm Town House exterior of stone and grand windows overlooking a narrow street.
The rooms are all individually designed to reflect their natural advantages. Bold colours and textiles give many rooms a romantic but aesthetically pleasing environment in which to relax and unwind. All have modern facilities such as TV's, broadband internet and irons. The bathrooms are stunning and in excellent condition with black Greek imported slate tiling the walls and under-floor heating providing the luxurious feel.
