The Grand Hotel Miramare is located only 400 meters from the centre of Taormina, just a short walk away from the Greek theatre and the cable-way to the beach.
Built in 1922, the patrician villa of Lo Turco family was already transformed into a hotel in 1926.
There have been various conservation projects throughout the years, the last of which took place in 2007 in the form of extensive restoration work, which maintained the antique charm of a residence out of another era and respected the style of both the villa and the furbishing of the rooms, while at the same time adding all the comforts required for an elegant and relaxing vacation: panoramic restaurant, bar, pool grill, swimming pool with whirlpool corner, tennis courts, internet point, etc.
The hotel’s 68 rooms are quiet, bright and air-conditioned, all equipped with: minibar, direct dialling telephone, hair dryers, sat Tv and pay per view, most of them also have sea view balcony or windows. The impressive Senior Suite is 60 sqm ca. and offers two large, separate rooms with bath and shower and a 70 sqm. sea view, private terrace.
The main restaurant faces a large terrace overlooking the Messina Straight and It is the ideal place where to try the typical flavours of Sicily.
During summer season it is also possible to have dinner on the panoramic terrace and, during the day, the grill bar by the swimming pool offers light meals and snacks in a relaxing atmosphere. Also at Guests disposal summer shuttle service to beaches, tennis court and car parking.

Rooms are comfortable and well illuminated, fully carpeted and are equipped with air-conditioning (1/6-30/9. Daytime only), hairdryer, mini bar and colour TV with satellite channels. Almost all of them have a sea view with a balcony or terrace, to enjoy in complete relaxation, the splendid panorama that surrounds this structure.
Guests who wish to participate in beach activities or water sports can do so in the bathing establishments of Mazzaro, Isola Bella and Mazzeo which are easily reached by the nearby cable car service or by scenic steps and pathway close by. The Grand Hotel Miramare is the only hotel in Taormina with its own private tennis court, and therefore offers this service free of charge to the hotel guests. The tennis court as for the swimming pool is situated in the garden and is reached by the same scenic pathway. Also, not far from Taormina is the 'Picciolo' Golf Club in Castiglione di Sicilia, where Miramare guests receive a 20% discount on green fees.
