How to arrive
This hotel is located in Cortina D'Ampezzo, it is nestled in an elegant building just off the SS51 Motorway, 1.5 km from the centre. The city of Venice is 154 km away.
Positive: The hotel is close to Cortina town center, but not in it, allowing for easy access to all that you need and want. Ski transfer to the main gondolas is provided so you don’t need to worry about getting there. The included spa is very nice after a day of skiing. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Overall a great experience.
Negative: The hotel is missing a gym.

Positive: The breakfast staff were a ray of sunshine and a great way to start the day. Access to the spa area was also fantastic after a day of hiking. Steam room, heated pool and an outdoor deck area to relax in the sun were welcomed.
Negative: Room attendants didn't do a great job of cleaning (floors, glasses, etc.). They also left our hotel room door wide open for anyone to access after they did the morning clean. We didn't discover this until our return back to the hotel late in the afternoon so it had been open all day. The front desk person didn't seem overly concerned, gave a brief apology and said they would talk to the cleaning staff. An underwhelming response to what I would consider a significant issue.

Positive: The location was okay -- close to town, but not walkable to anything (meaning that we needed to drive every time we wanted to get any bite to eat, which wasn't ideal given how busy Cortina is). The breakfast was good too and the staff were helpful and nice. The spa was nice as well, but was disappointed that the hotel chose to put up trees that completely block what would be an awesome mountain view from the pool and outdoor area.
Negative: For a four-star hotel, we were disappointed. The restaurant for dinner was not good at all. The water didn't get cold in the morning (filled our hiking bags with warm water), the do not disturb button didn't work (and housekeeping unnecessarily came three times a day), and we upgraded for a room with a balcony (which appeared to have views online), but were placed in a room with a balcone that was about 10 feet from an apartment complex which wafted smoke into our room :/ Though it was definitely acceptable, for the price, we wouldn't stay here again.
Positive: The staff was so friendly and made me feel at home, I had a super long trip and felt so welcomed. I also love how close the property is to the center. The food at the restaurant is great and all the servers were so friendly!

Positive: The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They had a nice front patio to enjoy a drink. The wine was great! Our room’s balcony had an awesome view of the mountains which we loved!
Positive: The spa area was very nice! We used it every day. The rooms were spacious and comfortable.
Negative: It is south of town about a 1-1.5 miles. Not terribly convenient for strolling downtown. Was difficult to find hotel initially.

Negative: The hotel staff was exceptional, friendly and helpful. The room was large enough and clean, BUT with no air conditioning (I understand its the mountains) we had to open windows and balcony door to cool the room. Problem 1-the road noise from the busy highway was deafening and Problem 2 there was no circulation which meant the room didn’t cool. When I called the front desk for ideas they recommended that I leave the door to the room open. Really, at night? We requested a mountain view, which we received, which also included a view of a construction crane, the garbage cans and bottle recycling bins which were noisily filled several times and day and the afore mentioned busy road. The hotel did not seem very full and we booked several months in advance with Booking.com. The appeared to be many rooms at the hotel that would have been in our room request range but perhaps the room we were assigned was a "thank you" for booking through Booking.com. The distance from city center (despite the free shuttle) and road noise and poor cooling options rate this hotel a “no-go”. On the other hand, if I could transplant this hotel staff to 99/100 hotels we stay at, we would be a happy campers.
Positive: The sauna was exceptional and we really liked the turkish steam room, hot sauna, ice bucket showers and pool. The staff was super friendly, responsive and professional. We also thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast buffet with the delicious local meats and cheeses, fresh fruit, and delicious baked goods. The hotel shuttle into town and to the ski lifts were a huge bonus for our group as well. We also appreciated the free parking, ski locker room and amazing views from our balcony.
Negative: Wish the beds weren't as hard but that's just me.

Positive: The staff was amazingly kind. They helped us with our hiking plans and information placed around the hotel. The spa was excellent with 2 saunas, a warm swimming pool and many places to relax, which was very important after long days of trekking. The breakfast was very rich and tasty, The center of the town is within 15 minutes walk or 5 min. driving.
