Positive: Had a great stay at the San Carlos. Rooms were spacious and clean. Good location as it was a few blocks from a metro stop. The housekeeping staff were amazing and so prompt. They were also very thoughtful as they made the bed accordingly as it was being split between two people. It’s small things like that that made the stay very pleasant.
Negative: Had one rude encounter with one of the front staff when pre-registering. The staff member was very short/curt and had an attitude when talking.
Positive: The concierge was amazing and very helpful. The hotel was in a great location, not in a touristy spot but within walking distance of restaurants and other locations.
Negative: The room and bed were very small for the price that we paid. The bed was not very comfortable.

Positive: This os a pwrfectly located hotel for exploring New York City, also with a family. If you prefer walking, you can walk to all major attractions. If you prefee public transport, it's on major subway and train lines. The rooms are spacious amd clean.
Negative: Unfortunately, there is no breakfast option at the hotel (but there are countleas cafes around). The rooms are a bit dates, could use an upgrade.
Positive: Great location just three long blocks east of Rockefeller Center. Easy access to buses and subway. We had a one bedroom and it was big for NYC. The bed and pillows were very comfortable as well as the couch and chairs in the main room. The small kitchen space had glasses, plates, and silverware, along with a microwave, coffeemaker, and small fridge. Reception and doormen were super nice. Plenty of restaurants and delis nearby. Great value.
Negative: The windows are a little on the small side, but really minor.

Positive: The hotel staff was friendly. It’s close to great restaurants and public transportation. Just a heads-up for light sleepers—being on the 16th floor, we were still woken up several times by sirens throughout our stay. But that’s probably hard to avoid in NYC. Overall, I’d definitely stay here again.
