Positive: It had a front desk receptionist which was a plus and it also had a good Continental breakfast. The mattress was very comfortable.
Negative: The room was gingy with crummy old furniture. The bathroom was so tiny you practically hit yourself on the sink trying to sit on the toilet. The hair dryer was from the stone ages although it did function. However, the longer it was held the hotter it got. I don't know where they got the photos for this hotel but they must have photoshopped them because that's what caused me to book the reservation. The room looked really spectacular but it turned out to be microscopic. We traveled with two other couples, and one of them had a lovely big bathroom that I was very envious of. We all paid the same price but there was quite a difference in the quality of the bedroom and bathroom.
Positive: View was good
Negative: The hotel is very outdated. It's like it was stuck in the 70's. in a way it was cool and vintage, but the carpet in the room was icky and the bathroom facilities were leaking, and the shower was cold.
Positive: The views and the cleanliness. Very kind staff.
Negative: Everything was fine.
Positive: The view would be even nicer with cleaner windows however I understand that this is a rainy season
Positive: Amazing view, delicious breakfast, free car parking, right next to a metro station. The staff is always nice.
Negative: The rooms could be a bit more well lit. The batroom feels a bit gloomy and dark, most bathroom devices squeak and make noises while water goes through
Positive: The view from the window is gorgeous
Negative: The breakfast consists of just bread, cheese, and ham. I expected eggs and sausage
Positive: Has parking
Negative: Old decoration, the matress was too bad, not too much space
Positive: View is wonderful, breakfast is ok and the room is lovely!
Positive: View from the top floor.
Negative: Unpleasant smell in the room.
Positive: the heater and clean hotel
Negative: no refrigerator
Positive: The staff were really friendly and the room was basic but comfortable. Breakfast was served in the panoramic breakfast room on the 13th floor with views all over Porto.
Negative: You have to run the hot water for a shower for at least 20 minutes before it became hot.
Positive: Location
Negative: First night the water was coming brown, we needed to let the water flow for 25min +/- to be good and stuff didn't tried to fix the problem, the park was always full, the window locker was broken, no ventilation in the bathroom, etc
Positive: Room view over the city. They kept my suitcase before the check in. The bed was comfortable.
Negative: My stay at this hotel was a disappointing experience. The location is inconvenient, situated on a steep street far from Porto's center, which makes getting around difficult. The surrounding area is dirty, adding to the poor impression upon arrival. The hotel and the room are outdated, with decor that seems untouched since the 1950s. The carpets were dirty, with visible dust and trash in the corners, suggesting a lack of proper cleaning. I found hairs in the bathtub and the basin. The water pressure in the bathroom was also so low. Noise isolation is non-existent—you can hear everything from the neighboring rooms, including intimate noises, which made for an uncomfortable stay. Breakfast was included in the reservation, but it was basic and uninspiring. Given the state of the building, I genuinely believe it should be evacuated and torn down. The hotel’s condition is so poor that even significant renovations wouldn’t be enough to bring it up to an acceptable standard. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
