The Hotel enjoys of an interesting position, preferred by the intellectuals and artists, searching for quiet and inspiration.
The building's façade has a beautiful and remarkable gothic "quadrifora" original of the age, when the building was a patrician palace. Inside the Hotel, at the entrance, there is a stoned staircase that goes from the lobby to the second floor, once called "piano nobile", where there are some rooms.
The intelligent restoration has effected a correct and balanced compromise between aesthetical demands and the non-renounced functional requirements, essential an hotel that wants to keep step with the times.
The rooms, in typical Venetian style,are furnished with elegance and good taste, with all comforts (private bathroom with bathtub, hairdryer, cable TV, direct dial telephone, mini-bar, air-conditioned, coffee and thea machine).
Our clients can also enjoy of a lightly and roomy sitting-room on the second floor, a bar on the ground floor with a free internet point, and a nice and big veranda overlooking the garden, where the buffet breakfast is served in the morning. How to arrive
By Car
You can park your car in a public garage in Piazzale Roma (Comunale or San Marco) or in Tronchetto.
If you choose the Garage San Marco you can have a discount of 10%: ask at the reception for the coupon before your departure.
To reach the Hotel Pausania you can take the public vaporetto ACTV line 1 to the stop of Ca' Rezzonico; you get off and follow the Calle Traghetto to the Campo San Barnaba and finally, following the canal (Rio San Barnaba) along the Fondamenta Gerardini for 50 meters, you will meet our Hotel.
There is the possibility to have private water taxi or car taxi from Piazzale Roma or Tronchetto to the Hotel (you can contact the reception by phone, fax or e-mail for more information and rates).
By Train
The Venice train station Santa Lucia is about 20 minutes far from our Hotel and you can take the public vaporetto ACTV line 1 to Ca' Rezzonico (follow instructions "By car" above).
The reception can arrange transfers by watertaxi from the Santa Lucia train station or also from Mestre train station by cab taxi (for information and rates contact the reception by fax, phone or e-mail).
