Welcome to the heart of Europe:
Outside, the hustle and bustle of numerous cultures.
Anyone staying at Martin’s Central Park on Boulevard Charlemagne, between Amborix Square and the Schumann roundabout, will find themselves in a famously historic neighbourhood. This is the most cosmopolitan area of Brussels and the most filmed by TV cameramen from around the world. Major news stories constantly break from here. Tree-lined streets frame sensational architectural achievements, with the hub of the European dream at the centre, and on the doorstep.
Inside, sophisticated serenity.
As befits any one of the Martin’s Hotels, Martin’s Central Park harmoniously unites the best of hotel traditions with breathtaking design.
In the entrance hall, a prism effect splits a curtain of raindrops into all the colours of the rainbow.
The reception area, which is more like a living room, radiates in the shadow of arabesques of light. Furnished with extravagant carmine armchairs, Cinecitta-style, this is an ideal place to pose, and be a star.
The business environment is as quiet as a set during filming. The 5 meeting rooms (4 of which have interpreters’ booths) are bathed in natural daylight and can accommodate between 5 and 120 people.
The bedrooms are all strikingly peaceful and inviting (100 rooms, 4 different categories, all with stylishly designed, cosy bathrooms).
And, in the spotlight, the `Icones´ Lounge Bar and Restaurant.
This is where you can relax with a drink or a meal under the watchful gaze of Hollywood stars. Drink a beer with John Wayne, or sip a green tea in deference to Audrey Hepburn, whose eyes inspired the `Icones´ logo.
Special effects are abundant (different seat and table heights, sliding walls, selectively adjusted acoustics in alcoves, etc.) and give this large area (100 covers) an intimate ambience. The artistically inventive menu is matched by deliciously attentive service. This is undoubtedly a perfect setting for Eurocrats and Brussels’ residents alike to enjoy gastronomic delights.
Check-in time: 3.30 pm
Located on the ground floor, it serves a buffet breakfast and lunch and a la carte dinner, except from mid July to the end of August, when the restaurant serves breakfast only. Meals for groups are available on request and bookings need to be made well in advance. The bar is also on the ground floor and has a private area for regular guests and a small dining area. In summer there is an outdoor terrace.
Renovated recently, it is large and pleasant with marble floor, ample seating and gives a very good impression.
All the bedrooms are the same and were renovated in 2002. They are very comfortable with red and yellow decor and cherrywood furniture. Without doubt, one of the best 3 star hotels in Brussels and could easily be a first class hotel except that room service is not offered. The bedrooms are medium-sized and in very good condition, as are the bathrooms.
