The 3* Sonne hotel is a traditional family hotel with an extremely cozy atmosphere. Guests at the hotel can benefit from the use of a big garden, a children¿s playground and a wonderful Swiss style restaurant. Built in 1875 in a chalet style visitors cannot fail to be charmed not only by the property, but also the wonderful surroundings. All of the hotels 22 rooms are well equipped with telephone, radio, satellite television and tea/coffee making facilities.
If canceled up to 3 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If canceled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

The hotel restaurant is located next to the lobby. It has a window the full length of the front of the building overlooking the street. The decor is simple and rustic with heavy wooden tables and chairs. The restaurant is also very popular with the locals.
The rooms have benefitted from a light refurbishment in the last year. Most rooms have wooden floors and are decorated in light and bright colours. The rooms vary in size, but, on average, are medium in size, some rooms have balconies. Both the rooms and bathrooms are in good condition.

The hotel is located about 10 minutes' walk from the centre of Interlaken in the peaceful suburb of Matten, next to the main road leading up to Grindelwald.
