The building, with its stunning colonial style, was constructed in 1836 and was the former residence of renowned families and wealthy businessmen. After its reopening in 1885, the hotel adapted its comfort standards to the tastes and preferences of the American and European markets and became one of the most famous hotels in the capital. With the splendour of the past, the hotel returns to life in Old Havana, captivating tourists with its charm and architectural beauty. Its elegant design and personal service have made it into a pearl of Havana, and on offer are a total of 25 rooms, of which four are junior suites, spread across two floors. Amongst the hotel's facilities count a foyer with 24-hour reception, a safe, a cloakroom, a currency exchange facility, and a lift. Standard fittings include an en suite bathroom with hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, and satellite/ cable TV. In addition, centrally regulated air conditioning, a hire safe, and either a balcony or terrace are also provided in all the accommodation units as standard. Wheelchair accessible rooms may also be booked.
