Take the AVE (high-speed train) to Ciudad Real or Puertollano. Ask for transfer to Almadén in advance if needed. By road from Ciudad Real take the N-420 to Puertollano and turn after 15 km to Almadén through Abenojar and Saceruela (CM-4112). From Córdoba take the N-423 to Badajoz and turn right after 50 km in Espiel taking the road N-502 to Almadén.
