Renovations and Closures
The hotel will be renovating from 26 August 2013 until further notice
The following areas are affected:
Positive: Good location, near the port where you can travel for other islands. The breakfast is very good, served in a sizable room. The room was clean, has a minibar and a coffee machine. The mattress was a bit too hard, but not a problem. Parking is available in hotel (from the Port side) and we always had a place to park. We've appreciated very much the fruit bowl which was waiting for us in the room and the small chocolates left - it was a very pleasant treat :)
Negative: We've read some reviews before but the hotel exceeded the expectations. No smells, sound proof is good enough and it works. Shower drain was a bit clogged, but not that big of a deal.
Positive: I appreciated the breakfast buffet choices each morning.
Negative: It was not a busy time of year and the hotel was virtually empty. It would have been nice to have a view that did not look into the parking lot and other side of the hotel.
Positive: It was in a convenient location
Negative: The strong scented deodorizer smell. We had to leave the window open for quite sometime and our room was cold

Negative: A type of a big complex where you feel the staff are employees. They provide you what you ask for, but that’s all. Very different experience vs many others places we’ve stayed in at Azores.
Positive: Clean, comfortable and good breakfast! Staff was helpful. Location is perfect
Negative: We did see some coach roaches in the hallway a few times…. That was a negative
Positive: Perfect location, comfortable and clean rooms, helpful front desk, nice big breakfast.
Positive: The hotel is new with a good bed and bathroom. it is one of the few places on the island with a bathtub. The breakfast is also very good. The staff is attentive and the hotel makes some small actions to surprise clients positively.

Negative: coffee capsules only for 1 day irrespectively of how many days I stay
