The hotel was originally an 18th Century French ambassador´s residence and then a convent. Two six-foot-tall Murano glass chandeliers and stained-glass door decorate the high-ceilinged, marble-floored lobby. A gallery overlooks the lagoon.

How to arrive
Distance to Piazzale Roma, Venice´s main entry point, is 13 kilometres, approximately 20 minutes drive. Getting there: AVTO buses run every 30 minutes to Piazzale Roma in the city centre. The journey time is 20 minutes and single tickets costs 3€. The ACTV number 5 bus also goes to Piazzale Roma. The number 15 bus run between the airport and Venice-Mestre train station. At Piazzale Roma, water buses (vaporetto) are available. The closest stop to the hotel are S. Marcuola and Orto.
