Positive: Very near to the airport in a cute village. The room had everything we needed and it was also very clean. Amazing staff and very tasty breakfast.
Negative: Nothing to complain about. It's a win win win place.
Positive: I liked te fact that it is only 8 min away from the airport so it provides a comfy stop if you do not have much time between flights as in our case

Positive: I liked this hostal before. It was clean and they had a decent breakfast. What I like now is that the Hostal is for sale, and hopefully there will be new owners to make it decent again.
Negative: I ordered 4 nights but stayed only one. Because the room stink of old perfume. I did not sleep well. The breakfast, I paid 10 Euro for was one dry croissant and one cup of coffee.
Positive: I booked an overnight stay as it was close to the airport and any flight or passport control delays would have caused me to miss the last bus to my ultimate destination. The room was small but functional and clean with plenty of hot water. It's also close to the bus stop for a cheap return to the airport.

Positive: The staff do not speak English, but they understand simple questions and are very nice, polite and helpful. The hotel is near the airport, easily accessible by taxi. The rooms are clean and very basic. The rooms were cleaned daily. Towels were replenished and some changed after two days. We only ate at the hotel restaurant once, but the service was pleasant and the food was delicious.
Negative: The walls of the hotel are very thin. Therefore, you can hear absolutely everything that the neighbors do: they go to the shower, toilet, talk on the phone, watch TV, even when they snore. I don't recommend this experience unless you're fast asleep, snoring yourself and can't hear anything. Mattresses and pillows are not comfortable. Towels are not of the best quality. There is no view through the windows, just another house and a side street. There is no fridge, and the restaurant is not open all day, so you need to plan when, how and what you will eat. There is no coffee machine or kettle either. Small ants appeared in our bathroom every day, even though we had no food or leftovers. The staff cleaned the rooms every day, it didn't cause any big problems, but the experience was unpleasant. Also it's not about hotel, but location: it is not easy to understand the times and places of the buses. Even if you want to come from airport. You may have to wait a lot longer for the bus than you think. Especially if it's a first time for you in Alicante and you would like to visit places like "Rio Safari" with children and etc. It's important to think about when you leave, when you come back, because taxis may not come and the bus may be far from the place.

Positive: We were instantly made very welcome by Blas. Our rooms were lovely with balconies overlooking the street and trees outside. Spanish sparrows in abundance in palms and sycamores in street. Hostel El Altet bar/restaurant was lovely. All staff were kind and helpful even with language barrier. Good to stay in non tourist real town with normal life around us. Comfy beds, peaceful rooms, felt welcome. Would have no hesitation staying there again. Thank you to all at Hostal El Altet.
Negative: It can't be helped due to it's close proximity to airport but planes taking off were noisy but I got used to this quickly and it didn't bother me.
Positive: Hostal was excellent very clean ideal for the airport, staff arranged our taxi to the airport, perfect for exploring alicante, good restaurant I would recommend to anybody
