Cleaning
The air conditioning was broken, there was a fan in the room instead of air conditioning. No WiFi reception in the room and when I complained, I was told that a technician would come. Even after complaining 4 times, nothing was done. Even 3 weeks later, when I checked out, the WiFi still didn't work.

Positive: Very friendly staff, cleaning ladies and waiters.

Negative: Air conditioning broken for 3 weeks, no WiFi in the room for 3 weeks and eating the same thing for 3 weeks. (Food is good but always the same menu).

Positive: One of our main considerations when choosing the hotel was the location in the "old town" section of Puerto de la Cruz and we were not disappointed. We were close to many shops and restaurants and a short walk from the pools at Costa Martianez and the beach. The included breakfast was a plus. (Keep in mind when booking this hotel that it is on a pedestrian street and vehicles cannot pull up to the entrance. The closest taxi or bus drop off will be a couple of blocks away.)

Negative: Not really a "didn't like" ... we were in a room with a tub with a shower. I understand that not all rooms are like that, some may have a walk-in type shower, and we would have preferred that. Nevertheless, given the view we had over the plaza on a higher floor, we wouldn't have changed our room.

Negative: I should have brought it to the attention of the reception, but my AC was running, but not cooling the room. As I was only staying for a few nights and it wasn’t too hot during the night, I decided not to.

Negative: The hotel has old furniture, my mattress was in waves and in the morning all the fried eggs smell from the breakfast was in our bathroom.

Positive: Hotel is beautiful, our room was extremely big and had a large balcony with a lovely view. The cleaners were amazing and around every day. The hotel is in a great central location.

Negative: The Bells ringing every 15mins from 6:45am so no lay in. The beds was so hard and uncomfortable. The food was below average and the same every day. The pool is very small.
