How to arrive
Cabrales is the main access road autonomic AS-114 (Cangas de Onis-Panes), which runs the council in an east-west. In the town of Arenas this road forks to the north by the AS-345 towards Peñamellera Alta, and south by the AS-264 to Poncebos Bridge, where the CA-1 started to address Tielve, Sotres and Tresviso, this village belongs to the neighboring region of Cantabria.
From Oviedo, the capital of the Principality of Asturias, is reached by bus with EASA ECONOMIC company belonging to Grupo ALSA, which makes two daily services, increasing the frequency in summer.

Positive: Comfy beds and large room and large bathroom! Mountain view outside our window. Very clean room and lobby as well.
Negative: Door is not sound proofed very well but it's not a very noisy hotel/area anyways so it was not a huge deal. Fridge in room would be nice. Street parking requires a slight walk. Not a big deal but need to note for those with mobility difficulties
Positive: The stuff is the nicest and most helpful. The room was really clean and also located in a very good area of the town, close to everything. Again, cannot stress that enough, the stuff was amazingly nice!
Negative: No parking for the hotel (there is a designated spot for loading / unloading luggage but you have to park in a public parking 3 minutes walking from the hotel)
Positive: Ivan was the nicest host, knowledgeable and helpful. The hotel is in a fantastic location, in the beautiful town on las arenas cabrales….but slightly away from the Main Street. There were great dining options nearby, a laundromat 100 mtrs away, fantastic access to the hiking routes, next to ample free parking. we were there during a festival and it was just the right time and right place.
Negative: the breakfast could be better, addition of a fresh juice would have elevated the experience or some ham/jamon. given that we were in thf middle of Asturias with some fantastic cheese, I would have loved to sample some of those on breakfast. but this is just a small glitch. everything else was top notch.
