How to arrive
The Hotel is in the heart of ancient, archaeological Rome opposite the Colosseum, Domus Aurea and Roman Forum.
Walking along the charming Via dei Fori Imperiali, you reach the most important city areas: Campidoglio, Piazza Venezia, the Quirinale Palace, Montecitorio- the seat of the Republic’s Parliament, the Pantheon, the Fountain of Trevi and Via Condotti, Rome’s most exclusive shopping district.
By plane
Rome has two international airports and excellent connections from the airports to the city centre. Charter flights generally fly into the smaller airport, Ciampino, while classical scheduled flights come into Fiumicino Airport, where you can take a taxi or shuttle train to Termini Station and then a taxi.
By train
Rome’s main station, in the heart of the city, is Termini, just 5 minutes by taxi from the Hotel.
By car
The best exits to take off the Ring Road are Eur and Appia.
Positive: Beautiful, clean hotel with impeccable service. Big room. Right next to the Colosseum. Outstanding views and staff. Paola at check in is so polite and professional. Gabrielle and Irene at breakfast were superb. Great location. Highly recommend.
Negative: Nothing
Positive: Location is great.
Negative: We were in an apartment building 3 blocks behind the hotel which was partially under construction and looked run down in the hall ways
Positive: Had a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment that was separate from the hotel. Both showers had significant mold growing on the tiles and grout. We informed the staff and they gave us €60 off of a €800 suite. They had room service Turing the room over before we had even checked out. The Marco Apartment is a good concept but poorly executed. The apartment building smells like fish in the common areas.
Negative: Pretty sure the private parking garage they use tracked our vehicle location as we were robbed shortly after stopping at a mall to buy an extra suitcase.
Positive: Grand old lady, exquisitely decorated, in enviable location. Roof top terrace looking down on colosseum a real treat. Staff very attentive to the point of being a tad too much in my opinion.
Negative: Our second room (suite) wasn’t even in the hotel! It was 0.4k away in residential block! How they market it as the hotel I can’t think. Also even though we booked b&b the three of us in the flat weren’t entitled to breakfast and also because the suite was in a different building my wife and I’s plan of a romantic evening with our 3 children in another suite of two bedrooms was knackered as we had to split up with one adult in each room. 🤨
Positive: absolute beautiful property in a great location. the view, the staff, the restaurant…. immaculate
Positive: Great location. The place is beautiful
Negative: 10
Positive: I’m a returning guest and they never disappoint
Negative: Apart from the main building being sold out where there were no rooms available , we still had a spectacular room in their nearby building
Positive: Very expensive! But very nice!
Positive: We stayed in the Marco Aurelio Suites which are small apartment type rooms with a little kitchenette that had a microwave, dishes, sink, silverware, nespresso maker. Perfect for our family of 4- which includes two teenage boys.
Positive: big enough people very nice
Negative: not in the hotel doesn’t t feel you can accès and be part of the hotel , if you need something like ice you to go out in the street to get some ice by yourself or need to walk for having a breakfast in the hotel
Positive: unique location. you walk 50 meters and will be inside ancient rome. metro station. possible to walk to many attractions. views from best rooms and extraordinary suites toward colosseum - from sunrise to sunset - amazing. the rooftop terrace - as a michelin restaurant during the day and for breakfast for all hotel guests. friendly staff and caring management that want the guest to be happy.
Positive: Spectacular location, beautiful junior suite with a gorgeous view
Positive: Everything
Negative: Nothing
Positive: I had the apartment, it is somehow in the back of the hotel, we thought it is in the same building
Positive: Loved the staff, location, view, breakfast, Michelin star dinner. We really enjoyed looking at the Colliseum from our bedroom and bathroom and were impressed with the extremely helpful staff. Also, while the room was on the small side it was designed with impeccable taste and perfect functionality. We will always return to Hotel Manfredi in Rome...a keeper!
Negative: Despite being a repeat customer and referring friends, when we arrived at the hotel Michelin star restaurant we were given the opposite of special treatment. Rather a table by the busy entrance not by the window with a view. Fortunately after complaining the Maitre D. corrected this treatment and gave us a fabulous table by the window. Nonetheless, this felt, bad and awkward and was 100% different from everything else that was fabulous. To be fair on my end, I ordered an expensive wine and gave a large tip thanks to the kind table upgrade. However this was a contrast as from the moment we arrived everyone else made us feel welcome and appreciated. All those at the front desk, the breakfast room and the bar downstairs.
Positive: amazing
Positive: The restaurant had very nice views and food was good
Negative: Very pricey. Room was mot very comfortable as far as the bedding
Positive: The view to the Colosseum, restaurant, and location.
Positive: So close to Coliseum!
Negative: Floors are a bit hard
Positive: Their restaurant aroma is one of the best restaurant I have ever experienced
Negative: Nothing
