Chez Jean hostel is a unique and friendly backpackers place, where our hosts love to introduce you to the city, show you around and help you meet other travelers from different countries in a warm and easygoing atmosphere.
We are in the heart of the most vibrant area of the city, the plateau of Mont-Royal is situated close to cultural events and tourist sites, but not far from the centre of the city.The hostel is ten minutes from the Mont-Royal and Lafontaine parcs, activities or rest summer and winter. And also five minutes to Saint-Denis and Saint-Laurent streets, shopping and nightlife (you'll find an bunch of good restaurants, pubs, bars and discotheques)

Tam-Tam drumming on Mont Royal every Sunday during the summer

As for other events : Formula 1 Grand Prix, international fireworks. The various festivals : Jazz, Just for laughts Comedy, Montreal World Film, Montréal lights, Gay Pride, Fête des neiges...
The price is still $20 CAD for each person, for each night (no taxes ad), and that includes breakfast. Breakfast included : with real bread, real butter, real coffee... and a real terrace seating. We also have cereal, orange juice, milk, tea, jam and peanut butter. Breakfast is not just for the early birds so don't worry if you want to sleep in...
You will have the opportunity to seek precious advice and recommendations from Jean, the father of the hostel. Chez Jean, you have access to the following services :
