The two AA Rosette winning Ranulph Restaurant serves the finest classical dishes with a modern twist in the opulent surroundings of the Main Hall. In contrast to the classical dishes served in The Ranulph, the hotel's Brasserie offers a modern alternative dining experience and has gained an AA Rosette for its quality. In the evenings there is an à la carte menu on offer.

This wonderful hotel is a stately Jacobean mansion dating back to 1615, A grade 1 listed stately home, the main hall has been rebuilt at various times with a majority of today's structure with its roots in the mid-Victorian era. Notable is the tower which now houses a four poster bedroom suite, ornate stonework, stained glass windows and landscaped gardens and terraces.

The air-conditioned, historic hotel comprises 117 rooms on 3 floors, including a selection of historic suites, and offers the best possible mixture of old and new styles. The lobby offers a 24- hour reception, a hotel safe, a lift, a cloakroom and currency exchange desk. Guests are able to enjoy a break in the west wing or dine in the brasserie with the unique revolving bar and a historic atmosphere. In addition, there is a conference room, room and laundry services as well as a car park. A recent £13.5 million investment has added a further dimension to the charm of the magnificent 17th century old hall, with the new dedicated Events Centre and Health Fitness and Spa, providing the perfect atmosphere for work and relaxation.

The main Hall with its intricately carved woodwork, ornate plaster ceilings, stunning fireplaces and marble floors houses 25 bedrooms, all ornate including some stunning suites and four poster beds. Additional bedrooms are located in the new west wing, where guests will find a refreshingly modern environment with a minimalist style. Here bedrooms are spacious and modern with clean, uncluttered lines where every effort has been made to ensure comfort. All bedrooms and bathrooms are in excellent condition.

This stately home hotel is situated in Cheshire. Manchester Airport is roughly 52 km from the hotel. A number of small friendly villages are situated in the English countryside in the area surrounding the hotel, many of which actually date back to the time before the Norman Conquest. Several have been designated conservation areas due to their attractive and historical buildings. The bustling and picturesque city of Chester is also worth a visit. The hotel is also well situated for Chester Zoo and Alton Towers.
