The manor house lies on grounds that stretch for 365 acres and include an 18-hole, 6,500-yard, par 72 golf course high on the hill; rated amongst the top 10 destinations in the golfing world. It was designed to offer a unique golfing experience and challenges to golfers of varying handicaps. Picturesque waterfalls feature dramatically, and a stunning landscape of mature trees gives the course its uniqueness. The establishment itself comprises a total of 48 guest rooms. Guests are welcomed into a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out service, and on-site facilities include a restaurant and room and laundry services. Guests arriving by car can leave their vehicles in the nearby car park, whilst those wishing to explore the local surroundings can hire bikes from reception.
The guest rooms are beautifully appointed and spacious, featuring exceptional amenities and comforts. They offer a double, queen or king-size bed to surpass all beds and come with an en suite bathroom with a shower, bath and hairdryer. Amenities available include a direct dial telephone, a TV, tea and coffee making facilities, an ironing set and central heating.
The following entertainment can be organised on request: archery, laser shooting, trout fishing and the paddock (cricket or 5-a-side football). This country house is situated in Bath and nestled in a peaceful wooded valley on the edge of the picturesque village of Castle Combe. The magnificent grounds of this hotel stretch for 365 acres and include secluded parklands, picturesque waterfalls, stunning Italian gardens with stone statues and the meandering mile-long river Bybrook. Guests will find restaurants, bars, pubs and tourist attractions in the nearby vicinity, whilst attractions such as Lacock Abbey (15-minute drive), Stonehenge (1-hour drive) and Glastonbury (1-hour drive) are also nearby. The town of Bath is just over 2 km away and features shops. Chippenham train station can be reached in approximately 20 minutes by public transport, and nearby airports include Bristol International Airport (54 km), Cardiff International Airport (105 km) and Bournemouth Airport (119 km).
From London and the east - take exit 17 of the M4 and follow the chequered flag signs to Castle Combe Racing Circuit (A350 towards Warminster, A420 towards Bristol (east) and B4039 towards Chipping Sodbury). At Upper Castle Combe, turn left and proceed down the hill and through the centre of Castle Combe. The entrance to the hotel is fully automated and situated on the right immediately over the bridge. Please drive slowly through the village. Kindly note this is an entrance only and is not to be used as an exit.
