This 24-room mansion house is set in 10 acres of award-winning gardens, one mile to the west of St. Andrews. The hotel features soft furnishings in pastel shades, comfortable sofas, armchairs and glowing lamps. The fine dining Terrace Restaurant with 2 AA Rosettes provides a special dining experience, while the bar's supper menu offers an informal alternative. The hotel welcomes its guests into a lobby with a 24-hour check-out service and a cloakroom, and stands as an ideal conference centre with meeting rooms for up to 200 delegates. WLAN Internet access and room and laundry services are provided (the latter incurs a fee). Guests arriving by car can leave their vehicles in the nearby car park, whilst those wishing to explore the local surroundings can hire bikes for a fee.
From St. Andrews (A91 approach): Turn right at the first roundabout upon reaching St. Andrews and follow the road through the public car park to the top of the hill. At the junction with Double Dykes Road turn right (do not go straight ahead into another car park). Continue along this road until it meets the junction with Hepburn Gardens, bear right. At the next junction bear right onto the B939, following the brown tourist sign for the hotel. Keep on main road for approximately a mile. On leaving the town boundary, go straight ahead at the roundabout and the hotel is on the left-hand side.
The hotel has 24 individually styled and tastefully decorated bedrooms. 19 of the rooms, including 3 suites, are located in the main house. Unlike most chain hotels, these hotel rooms come in different shapes and sizes. They have been equipped with a shower, a hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, a TV, a radio, Internet access, tea and coffee making facilities, and central heating.
Guests wishing to play a round of golf can visit one of the many nearby courses in St. Andrews. The nearby beach is sandy.

How to arrive
This family-friendly country house hotel is renowned for its friendly personal service and its peaceful location. The establishment is around one mile from the 'home of golf', St. Andrews. The centre of St. Andrews features a number of restaurants, bars, pubs, nightlife spots, public transport links and shops. Nearby attractions include the British Golf Museum, St. Andrews Castle, St. Andrews Old Course and the University of St. Andrews, which can all be reached in just 20 minutes on foot. The beach is just a 15-minute walk away and RAF Leuchars can be reached in 10 minutes by car.
