Positive: Very good breakfast - plentiful, good variety & tasty, Bed was comfortable, Room was clean and tidy. Staff were helpful and friendly. Very good place to stay when travelling through this region.
Negative: Nothing specific - everything met my expectation of a country lodge.

Negative: Very upset because there was a party , shouting, people behaving badly , no hotel staff nor security came too tell them too shut up . Pool gets locked up at 7pm , coffee station very small , kettle under table .

Negative: Parking bays at the back - suggest considering marking the bays and allocating each bay to each booked client. Also SUV and big vehicles should not be allowed to park at the back. Might be a good idea to look at the layout could fit more vehicles.
Positive: Unfortunately the only thing we liked was the loccation and the staff were friendly
Negative: The Hotel is rundown and in desperate need of a revamp. Very limited tv stations and the picture quality was very bad. Very old linen and the matrass and pillows were uncomfortable and the bed made sqeeking sounds when you turn around. They put us in room 15 and after complaining about the dirty shower and headboard we were moved to room 17 which was also not up to standard. We stayed at Country Hotels in Upington and Springbok and everything was supurb. Clanwilliam Country Hotel will never see us again.

Negative: Positive Criticism on Food Safety. : The Kitchen personnel to saveguard the breakfast area against flyes, by placing netting or covers over the bowls especially at the yogurt table, cold meat and muffins etc. Rather use the Aircon than opening windows in the breakfast area. Thanks.

Negative: Hair all over the bed - no dryer in the room - the blanket was dirty - no loadshedding schedule in room and my cell phone was off to check myself - unprofessional unfriendly services - breakfast was bad without any taste and poor quality - extremely bad customer service (attitude) - my 1st time stay also the 1st time that I complain about accommodation but this will definitely be my last stay with Clanwilliam hotel. The pictures on the website is not what you actually see.

Negative: They should put real milk in the room. There is a fridge. Put a small jug of milk in there
Positive: The check in service was smooth and the Lady who helped us was very friendly, kind and so welcoming. Her Name is Linda.
Negative: Lack of Ventilation in the Room was the Problem. The rooms have no windows even in the bathroom, only the entrance sliding door which you can't keep open as it is right infront of the pool and people are sitting there meaning your privacy is somehow compromised. you must rely on the Aircon for some fresh air, and with Load shading it becomes a serious problem to get enough Ventilation in the Room. Overall the stay was not so Bad.
