The property is over 20 years old and was one of the first luxurious hotels in Johannesburg. It became known as the Red Carpet Hotel by taxi drivers who identified it because of the luxurious red carpet at the entrance. Turn right into 5th Street (look for signs to Sandton City), go straight over 2 traffic lights and the hotel is on the left.
