The building is an art deco, period hotel from circa 1920's.

This hotel was built in 1914 and was refurbished in 1950. Over the years it has gained a reputation for offering outstanding service and food. This reputation is reflected in all aspects of the hotel's operation and this, together with the hotel's location, will ensure guests enjoy a relaxing stay in a peaceful atmosphere. The hotel has been inspired in parts by the classic elegance and good taste of the crafted designs of Art Deco. The aim is to emphasise the elegance and style of this period to create an atmosphere of tranquillity and relaxation where one can feel completely at ease. The hotel offers 86 rooms in total and facilities include: a lobby with 24-hour reception, a hotel safe, currency exchange facility and a cloakroom. A games room, TV room, bar and dining facilities all feature. Internet access is offered. Guests may like to avail of the room and laundry services. Bicycle hire is also an option. Parking facilities are also available for guests arriving by car.

The hotel is open for the summer season, from May to October. The reception is open 24 hours and sandwiches are also available 24 hours. The hotel supplies towels for the pool and tennis rackets, both indoor and outdoor, can be obtained from the porters desk.

An en suite bathroom, hairdryer, direct dial telephone, televisions, radio, tea/coffee making facilities, double bed and central heating all come as standard. Balconies or terraces also feature.

Towels are supplied for the outdoor heated pool and there are sun loungers and parasols for guests' use. Guests can also top up their tans at the solarium. Tennis rackets and table tennis bats can both be obtained from the porter's desk. Pool tables are also available. Minigolf is a further option.

How to arrive

5 kms to the nearest airport (jersey states)

The hotel enjoys a unique elevated position overlooking two of Jersey's most picturesque south coast bays, St Brelade and Ouaisne. Jersey Airport is some 5 km away, while it is about 10 km to the centre of St. Helier. The nearest pub is just a short walk away.

On leaving the airport at the roundabout take the second exit and head towards Red Houses (B36). Follow this road for approximately 1.5 km as far as a set of traffic lights. At these lights turn left on to La Route des Genets (A13) and follow this road. After approximately 1.5 km turn right onto La Route du Noirmont (B57 signposted to Noirmont Point and Portelet Bay). After 1.5 km turn right onto Le Chemin du Portelet and then after 180 m, take the fork left up the hill. The hotel is located on the right hand side, approximately 250 m along this road. Parking is available on both sides of the road. From the ferry: on leaving Elizabeth Terminal head down La Route du Port Elizabeth, straight across the first roundabout. At the second roundabout take the first exit and join La Route de La Liberation (A1), heading West towards St Aubin. Follow this road for approximately 3 km as far as another roundabout. Bear left at this roundabout and continue along La Route de la Haule (A1) towards St. Aubin. Continue along this road through St Aubin. Stay on the main road as it takes a sharp right up Le Mont Les Vaux (A13). Follow the road as it winds up the hill. Upon reaching the top of the hill, turn left onto La Route du Noirmont (B57) signposted to Noirmont Point and Portelet Bay). Afterapproximately 1.5 km turn right on to Le Chemin du Portelet and then after 180 m, take the fork left up the hill. The hotel is located on the right hand side, approximately 250 m further on along this road.
