How to arrive
This hotel is located in Vouliagmeni, on the Apollo Coast near the public sandy beaches with all their water sports facilities as well as the attractive small bays. Guests will find a regular bus service (every 30 minutes) serving the area. Plaz de Vouliagmeni is 3 minutes away on foot and there is also a lake in the immediate vicinity. Athens and its Old Town are around a 35-minute walk away. Athens Airport is some 20 km from the hotel.
Positive: Friendly staff, excellent breakfast, nice view room, quiet. A drink on rooftop with view was special.
Positive: This was my second stay at the Hera. The location is superb—around the corner from the Parthenon museum and the Acropolis and within walking distance of Plaka!!! The rooms are small but adequate since you're in Athens and there is so much to see outside!! I was disappointed that the rooftop restaurant was under renovation, but it is due to reopen in April. Their view is spectacular!! Breakfast in the lobby restaurant was very comprehensive and delicious. The staff was very congenial and helpful in making suggestions and in fixing a computer glitch.
Negative: No complaints other than the disappointment about the rooftop restaurant.

Positive: We loved the staff at this hotel. They are really friendly and helpful. The hotel is beautiful and smelled wonderful. We had breakfast twice and it was expansive with multiple choices and the quality was excellent. The rooms were very nice and beds super comfortable. It’s very close to the Acropolis and Acropolis museum. Lots of places in the neighborhood to shop and eat. It’s very close to the Plaka shopping as well.
Negative: The rooftop dining was under some construction so we didn’t eat dinner with a view of the Acropolis.

Negative: I would have liked the heating to keep the room a bit warmer. I set it to max settinfmg but didn't feel that warm. Still comfortable though.
