Kingsmills Hotel Description

This hotel gives guests a choice of two restaurants: The Conservatory Brasserie, which is relaxed and intimate, and the more formal Inglis à la carte restaurant, offering a fine dining experience. A continental buffet breakfast is served each morning at the hotel. Dinner can be enjoyed à la carte or selected from various set menu options.

The hotel is traditional in style.

Built in 1786 by William Inglis, who was later the Provost of Inverness, the original house is the heart of the hotel. Some kilometres from the city centre and the River Ness, the family-friendly historical hotel has tastefully and yet sympathetically extended over the years since it was opened as a charming and luxurious Inverness hotel in 1947. A concierge service is available all day. This air-conditioned business hotel comprises a total of 83 rooms. Guests are welcomed in the lobby, which offers a 24-hour reception and a 24-hour check-out service, as well as a hotel safe, currency exchange and lift access to the upper floors. There is a hairdressing salon, a bar and a restaurant and guests will appreciate the conference facilities and wireless Internet access (fees apply). Room and laundry services are offered for a fee, and guests arriving by car may leave their vehicles in the hotel car park.

Check-in is from 2 pm. Early arrivals can use the leisure club facilities or leave the luggage at reception. The latest check-out is at midnight.

The standard rooms face onto the gardens, giving peace and privacy at the hotel with extensive open views around the 2 hectares of beautifully landscaped grounds. The rooms have classic décor and all rooms come with a private bathroom with a separate shower and bathtub, bathing products, soft, fluffy towels and a hairdryer, and offer a king-size or double bed. The rooms also come equipped with a direct dial telephone, satellite TV, Internet access, a radio, safe, ironing set, individually regulated heating and tea and coffee making facilities as standard.

The hotel offers a resistance training gym, a Cybex-equipped gym, an indoor swimming pool and a sauna and steam room. Guests can relax on the sun terrace. Massages and spa treatments are offered for additional fees. Meanwhile, fans of the fairway can head to the nearest golf course in Inverness, which is approximately 7 minutes' walk from the hotel.
