Apartamentos Sol Ponent are situated on the sea-front in the urbanization of Cala Blanca near Ciutadella in Menorca, opposite “Clot de sa Cera”, famous cliffs safe for swimming and with excellent sea-beds which make it a very attractive area for snorkelling and diving.
Cala Blanca is an urbanization just 4 kms from Ciutadella and is ideally situated for visiting the best virgin beaches on the island: Cala Macarella, Es Teler, Son Saura, Algaiarens, Cala’n Turqueta…
There are 2 beaches of white sand: Cala Blanca and Cala Santandría (Only a 10 minute walk from the apartments). The urbanization has a leisure centre with restaurants and shops, supermarkets (one only 30 metres away), chemists, medical centre, taxi stand and bus service (the bus-stop is only 50 metres from the apartments).
Sol Ponent apartments is a small family Holiday complex of 19 apartments, a solarium with swimming pool right on the sea front, a reception area for greeting guests and a pleasant cafeteria.
The 19 apartments are distributed on 3 levels: 6 ground-floor apartments, 7 on the first level and 6 on the second level.
All our apartments have one double bedroom, lounge/dining-room with sofa- bed, complete bathroom (with hairdryer), fully equipped American kitchen (electric cooker, microwave, fridge with small freezer, toaster, coffee-maker, kettle and basic cooking utensils). All have a private terrace (some have spectacular sea-views), satellite TV, fan and WI-FI connection and safety deposit box at an extra charge.
We have 2 types of apartment (differentiated only by views):
- Standard apartment. No sea-views
- Apartment with sea views
The apartments have bed linen (changed every 7 days) and towels (changed every 4 days). The apartments are cleaned on the 7th day of your stay.
Accommodation is for up to 4 guests (2 in the bedroom and 2 on the sofa-bed)).
On the departure day guests must vacate the apartments by 11 a.m.

The apartments all feature either a balcony or terrace, with either a sea view or a garden view, a lounge with a sofa bed and a bedroom. All units additionally come with an en suite bathroom with hairdryer, a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, satellite/ cable TV and a hire safe as standard.
In the outdoor complex there is a swimming pool, a separate children's paddling area, an attractive snack bar and a sun terrace with sun loungers and parasols (which are also available on the beach for an extra charge).

At this destination there is a local tourist tax not included in the price per person and night that you have to pay directly at the hotel.
How to arrive
From the airport:
1. Take the ME-14 (road of San Clemente) direction Ciutadella.
2. Go straight to the third roundabout where you take the exit in direction Ciutadella, taking the ME-1 (known as main road or “Carretera General” or “Carretera de Ciutadella to Mahón).
3. Keep on this road, passing through the villages of Alaior, Es Mercadal and Ferreries until you reach Ciutadella, a run of about 39 kms.
4. Now in the municipality of Ciutadella but before entering the town you will see the first roundabout where you have to take the direction Cap d’Artrutx (3rd exit), so taking RC-2.
5. Go straight on RC-2 (towards Cap d’Artutx) to the 5th roundabout. Take 3rd exit direction Cap d’Artutx, the taking la Me-24.
6. Keep on this road going over 4 more roundabouts. At the 4th turn off at the 1st exit right (direction Cala Blanca). You are now on the road to Cala Blanca.
7. Keep on this road until you reach Hotel Mediterrani (on your right). Bear right here (very important!). Then you will see a small roundabout where you take 1st exit “ Avinguda de la Platja”. Stay on this road as this is where we are situated.
8. About 200 metres down this road you pass the Hotel Sagitario, then Maribel complex, the Casa del Sol apartments, then supermarket until you find us at APARTAMENTOS SOL PONENT.
