Positive: The view and location was exceptional. Best hotel I have been in Greece. Short drive to the sites….and the food was great.
Positive: My wife and I stayed here with our 18-year-old son on a one-day visit to visit the nearby archaeological site. We couldn’t have asked for more. The room was comfortable, and the property is beautiful. The staff was welcoming, and I would highly recommend the on-site restaurant, where the food was homemade and excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
Negative: This is not a negative about the property, but our GPS made it very confusing to get to the archaeological site. I would highly recommend just asking the reception staff for directions. We have nothing negative to say about the property.
Positive: Beautiful room, bathroom, patio. Breakfast was outstanding. New hotel with high end appointments. The decorator did not miss a detail. Beautiful sunsets from your private patio.
Negative: The location was 10 min drive to the historical sites. You can not walk there.
Positive: Everything, the welcoming people, easy and fast check-in for 5 rooms, the tasty local food... and the location.
Negative: .
Positive: Lovely view from basic but clean room.
Negative: Breakfast was very mediocre.
Positive: Very good breakfast.
Positive: We liked the room, the staff
Positive: We were further away from the city of Olympia than I realized we would be and there was only the hotel restaurant near by. The staff at the restaurant were not very friendly. The beds were extremely soft.
Positive: A beautiful, clean place to stay while we visited ancient Olympia. Surrounded by nature, in a well kept loved space. The food was amazing and all the staff was very kind. A very short drive to the the ancient ruins we came to visit. It would be a nice place to stay for more nights. We are from Sonoma, CA and it felt like the wine country but in Greece with endless olive trees, amazing rolling hills, and herds of sheep along the drive there.
Positive: This hotel was the nicest hotel i have ever stayed at. The view was incredible, the food was delicious, the bed was comfy, the staff was fabulous, the rooms were spotless, and the pool was glorious!. I would love to come and stay again. It was a spectacular stay.
Negative: Everything was absolutely perfection to the fullest extent.
Positive: This property is a hidden gem in a nice quiet area with a great staff and fantastic vistas
Positive: shower was fantastic
Negative: very small room, not the most comfortable beds
Positive: The pool was wonderful with a great view of the mountains! There were umbrellas for shade. The restaurant at the hotel had large glass doors which were open to the shaded patio. The patio roof is an extention of the building. The room was a good size with a small balcony, a modern bathroom, and a nice mountain view. Parking is not a problem. The area in which the hotel is located is in a rural area which is peaceful and quiet. The small staff worked hard to keep everything spotless. I was impressed. You are within a 10 minute drive of the Olympia Archeological site and museum. Olympia was our favorite site in the Peloponnese. The ruins and museum are amazing! Parking at Olympia can be a challenge due to the fact you can only park on the street. Space is limited so arrive early in high season. The site is large and you can manage your visit avoiding the large tour groups that swarm the area.
Negative: The breakfast buffet was good. We ate dinner at the hotel twice and found the selection limited and of average quality. You have no other restaurant options within walking distance and to get to one would require a drive back down some winding roads.
Positive: Parking
Positive: Great views from the dining room and pool
Positive: The balcony view, the pool. The breakfast buffet was good.
Negative: The pictures on the BKG site don't represent what you actually get. The room was the smallest we've been in, you can here the slightest sound from the next room--cough, plugging in a USB. The bathroom and shower were small. The breakfast start time is rigid 8AM. We had an 8AM entry time at the Olympian site so we asked if we could have a to go box or an earlier start time. Answer no for the box, 15 min for the start time which wouldn't work as it takes longer to get there. The food in the restaurant was the worst in all the restaurants in the 10 days we've been in Greece. The choices are limited and my chicken was overcooked. Lastly although we prepaid, as we were leaving ran after us saying we didn't pay the 1.5E/ night tax. I thought the BKG rate included all the taxes. This was true for every other place we stayed at. I Told her that but she said no. I wasn't going to argue over 3E.
