Quiberon Bay (Baie de Quiberon in French) is a popular destination for yachting, with one of the more popular marinas at Port Haliguen. A 5 minute walk from the Hotel Port Haliguen, you can rent and take lessons in the use of windsurfers, catamarans, kayaks, and sailboats at Point Passion Plage Quiberon. On the west side of the Quiberon Peninsula (Presqu'île de Quiberon), you can sunbathe on the Grande Plage (Great Beach), take a ferry to Le Palais on the island of Belle Île, or spend time in the Quiberon Casino. Many visitors enjoy hiking along the Côte Sauvage (Wild Coast), a protected natural area to the north, where ocean waves beat against the rocky shoreline, or at Pointe du Conguel at the southern tip of the peninsula.
