The country house was built in 1845 as a typical Black Forest building and its character has been conserved throughout the renovations. There is a restaurant, 15 comfortable, bright rooms and a cosy living room with a stove. Furthermore a big terrace with a garden and playgrounds is a great pace to relax and guests can enjoy the sunbathing area or relax under the high fir trees in the garden. Further facilities include a lobby, currency exchange facilities, a cloakroom, TV lounge, cafe and dining room. Guests may also make use of the WLAN Internet access, room and laundry services, a car park and a bicycle hire service.
The hotel is decorated according the philosophy of Feng Shui. All rooms are furnished individually and have lots of charm. They offer an en suite bathroom with a shower/WC and hairdryer, a double or king-size bed, telephone, TV and radio. Internet access and central heating also feature in all rooms as standard. Guests may also relax on their private terrace. For families there are spacious 3 or 4-bed rooms available.

How to arrive
This family-friendly and comfortable hotel is surrounded by a landscape of forests and grassland. The village of Tiefenhäusern belongs to the municipality of Höchenschwand and is situated 950 m above sea level. It allows for wonderful views over the Swiss Alps. The country house is approximately 3.5 km from the town centre and its nightlife and around 10 km from Waldshut train station and its shops. The Schluchsee lake is roughly 12 km away and the Feldberg ski area is around 25 km away. Freiburg is approximately 60 km from the ski hotel.
