How to arrive
It was the Gallo-Romans who first put Besancon on the map recognising its strategic position as a gateway to Italy, the Alps and the Rhine. In the 18th century Besancon became known for its clock-making, but industry today is largely centred around precision engineering. The town centre is just 800 metres from the hotel and home to St. Jean Cathedral, the Museum of Fine Arts and Archaeology, Vauban Citadel and its museum, and Palais Granvelle. The nearest train station is in Metabieb, and the Arc-sous-Cicon ski resort is also nearby.
American Express, Diners Club, MasterCard and VISA are accepted as methods of payment.
