Positive: Location , premise , pool, cottage , 🍲
Positive: The property is run down. Screen doors broken. Ants in the room. No water in the kitchen sink. No tv or ac. The photos of the property didn’t acurately depict the property. I felt deceived. The rooms you gave me were not worth what you charged.
Positive: We came with our teenage boys to celebrate our anniversary while doing the road to Hana. The resort is beautiful and the staff were so kind and helpful. The lovely bag of snacks and card waiting in our room were a nice touch. The location was amazing and we definitely felt pampered. Our kids did not want to leave.
Negative: The rooms themselves could use a few updates. The tiling was a bit outdated and the floors were a bit scuffed up. We had stayed there 25 years ago and the bathrooms seem pretty similar to then.
Positive: Incredible property. Everything was on point. Food was excellent, rooms were clean and welcoming, scenery ect. The STAFF is what really made this place stand out. Super welcoming, helpful and friendly. Thank you to the entire staff, from the Ranch to the Hotel.
Negative: We enjoyed everything. Hot tubs would be a welcome addition.
Positive: Location is great
Positive: We drove the famous Road to Hana and decided to spend the night rather than make the long return trip the same day. Staying at the Hana-Maui Resort was a great way to truly enjoy the area without feeling rushed—but be prepared for the price. It was more than triple what we paid per night in Lahaina, which definitely makes it a splurge. That said, the resort offers a lot. Parking was included, and the property has everything you might need for a comfortable and peaceful stay. The rooms are massive—more like mid-sized apartments than traditional hotel suites. The bed was very comfortable, and the space overall felt thoughtfully designed and relaxing. The grounds are expansive and beautifully maintained, with a quiet, tranquil vibe that's hard to find anywhere else on Maui. We especially enjoyed the infinity pool, catching the sunrise, and just taking in the peaceful surroundings. One highlight for me was the fitness room, which was impressively equipped with free weights, Peloton bikes, and more. Even better—it opens up to a second pool, allowing you to work out while still soaking in the tropical atmosphere. Dining options include an off-site restaurant and some fantastic food trucks just footsteps away—perfect for a flavorful and fuss-free feast. All in all, if you're willing to splurge for a serene, off-the-beaten-path experience in Hana, the Hana-Maui Resort delivers. It’s not budget-friendly, but it offers a unique kind of luxury you won’t find elsewhere on the island.
Negative: The price
Positive: Beautiful resort in a peaceful town! The hotel room was clean and spacious. The resort is expansive with many amenities available to guests and beautiful views in all directions.
Negative: The rooms did not have AC but there were multiple ceiling fans, a sliding door, and windows that helped bring the cool air in. The staff also provided multiple standing fans which was very helpful.
Positive: Beautiful and well maintained property and the food was excellent!
Positive: We got upgraded to the oceanfront bungalow and were blown away at how gorgeous it was. It became the highlight of our trip
Positive: The location was pretty, clean, and easy access to food and hiking trails. The breakfast was so yummy, but a little pricey. The beds were comfortable and showers were clean. Little fridge provided. Pool was large and clean. Staff was so friendly and helpful with shuttles around the property. Great view!
Negative: No compltaints.
Positive: Absolutely beautiful place to stay, my favorite room is #215. You definitely want something with an ocean view. Make plans ahead and reservations for spa are needed just to use facilities. Yoga and meditation in morning, hike in the afternoon and a thick steak at the Ranch for dinner. You need at least three or four days to see this side of Maui, just breathtaking.
Positive: The location is secluded and beautiful
Positive: The amenities! Gorgeous grounds and pools were lovely. The location was close to the beach ( walkable but not on property) shuttle service was available. The breakfast restaurant was good and had spectacular views. The spa treatments were wonderful. It was so quiet$
Negative: The beds were OLD. Not comfortable . My coffee maker was infested with ants. A delightful fact that I discovered while trying to make coffee before in room dining was open…… I wasn’t surprised when I found that there was no ac, but the lay out of our room made it nearly airless at night and the provided fans didn’t offer much relief. There are also no televisions.
