The restaurant offers a variety of light snacks and bar type meals throughout the day. This is a contemporary and bright setting perfect for groups and individuals. The evening provides a more classical English menu.
A modern light bricked building, newly built in 2002. Car parking is available for guests as well as coaches for groups.
The hotel is well located for visiting Durham, Northumberland and the surrounding area including Raby Castle, Bowes Museum and Beamish. A great hotel for those travelling north or wishing to stay in the Durham/Newcastle area. (KB 05/08)
All 84 rooms ensuite rooms are in very good condition and offer a welcoming blend of classical colours and the contemporary styling of the furniture provide a relaxed feel. How to arrive
11 kms to the airport (durham tees valley)
Ideally situated just off the A1 in County Durham. Located between Newton Aycliffe Village and Darlington Town Centre, close to Sedgefield Racecourse, the historic city of Durham, Beamish Museum and Hartlepool's historic quay. Travel 30 miles North on the A1(M) to reach the Metro Centre. Access to Teesside and Sunderland is by the A19 and to Durham and Newcastle Upon Tyne by the A1(M). The beauty of the Yorkshire Dales is a few miles south and the Cathedral City of York is within an hours drive. Finally the Croft Motor Sports track is just one junction South of the hotel.
