Today the castle is a tourist residence, which has been renovated maintaining the original elements of the structure from the 12th Century. It comprises a total of 14 suites and offers guests the opportunity to relax in the Tuscan countryside without having to forego quality accommodation. The hotel offers a gorgeous swimmingg pool, a bar, Internet wireless access, bicycle hire and parking facilities. Room service is also available.
Cancellation or breakdown of the stay made after Hour 12:00 (Occidental Europe) of 72 hours before arrival till the check-in day penalty of the amount 1st night (included taxes). Cancellations or changes made after check-in or no-show have as penality 100% of the total ammount of the staying. Deposit of 1/3 of the stay is required as guarantee (refundable).

Breakfast is served as a buffet. During Summer it also serves light lunches by the pool.
All suites are equipped with individually adjustable air conditioning/heating, a double bed and an en suite bathroom with a Jacuzzi bathtub or shower. Rooms also include: a living room, a kitchenette (use on request, charged locally), a direct dial telephone, wireless internet access, TV, a minibar and a safe.
There is an outdoor swimming pool set in these natural surroundings with sun loungers. A number of massages are on offer. Golf, tennis, horse riding and trekking paths, as well as bicycle, car and motorbike rental, are all on offer in the immediate vicinity. How to arrive
This hotel is located in one of the oldest fortified castles in the area, towering high in the countryside of Strove. In the Middle Ages this castle belonged to the ancestors of the old noble Montanini family. Its coat of arms well recounts the family's history. Colle Val d'Elsa is only a 10-minute drive away. Florence is just 50 minutes away by car, whilst Monteriggioni, San Gimignano, Volterra and Chianti are all also within driving distance.
FROM NORTHERN ITALY: Take the A1 motorway towards Florence (Firenze) and exit at Firenze Certosa. Just after the exit, take the motorway to Siena and continue for about 45 km. Exit at Monteriggioni. From this exit there are signs for RTA Castelbigozzi, however keep going towards Abbadia Isola and then towards Strove. FROM SOUTHERN ITALY: From Rome, take the A1 motorway towards Florence (Firenze). Exit at Monteriggioni. Continue towards the villages of Abbadia Isola and Strove (6 km away). The hotel is located on a hilltop just outside Strove on the left-hand side.
