The building is actually a Palace, it's named Palazzo Malipiero, dates back to 1400 and contains traditional Venetian features and architecture as well as beautiful gothic arches. Despite the age of the building, it has been well preserved and blends in well with the surrounding architecture. There is no name sign outside, as the exterior may not be changed in any way.
This property has been taken over by a Ventian family that decided to give back to the Palace its old charme, going through an important renovation plan that produced great risults. The location is great, and the report quality/price is excellent. The hotel is made of 2 separate buildings, the fist building is the Ca' Malipiero, while the annexe of the hotel is called Ca' Formosa. both very close to each other and in the same style and type of management. The bedrooms vary in size from small to very large, from standard to superior or deluxe. They are furnished in an elegant Venetian style, with silk covered walls, original Venetian floors, and equipped with all the modern comforts. Superior and deluxe rooms enjoy beuautiful views of Campo Santa Maria Formosa and are bigger in size. Some of the rooms are located in the nearby Annex, just next door.

This small charming, historical residence, is ideally situated for easy access to all the major attractions and historical sites of Venice. Located in the famous square Campo Santa Maria Formosa, it is just about 5 minutes walk from San Marco Square or Rialto Bridge. The nearest boat stops are Rialto or San Zaccaria. Campo Santa Maria Formosa is quiet and peaceful, whilst the surroundings are lively with many shops, Bars and Restaurants
