Positive: The room was fine, all good.
Negative: Noise isolation could have been better. There seems to go a train track close by and they use horn during all the night.
Positive: Very old hotel but it has been kept updated. Each room is different the standard is sufficient the suite is unique and elegant. Stayed in both, I’d go with the suite!
Positive: Great check in experience. Our flight arrived past midnight and the front desk was closed but the hotel staff messaged me instructions to get in and they had my keys and room ready once I arrived. We are not picky, but we care about clean rooms and our room was super clean and had everything we needed.
Positive: Beautiful, old building with character. Good buffet breakfast.
Negative: Right next to a very loud train and some rough parts of town. I was woken up early every day with the train and motorbikes. The toilet barely worked and the bedding had stains.
Positive: Location was great! Staff was exceptional!!! The lovely antique building & pleasant breakfast are also worth mentioning.

Negative: You can hear your neighbors making love. I felt invaded and uncomfortable because of it. The walls are not very thick.

Negative: No AC in the bedrooms. No Ice. No locks on the windows

Negative: FAR FROM SJO AIRPORT! Cost of shuttle could have gotten a better hotel closer. No A/C (there was a ceiling fan, thank goodness). Windows open to the hallway. No fridge. Could buy a bottle of water from the front desk.
Positive: The hotel was a one night stop before travel the next day. It was convenient to downtown and the airport. They offered a decent breakfast. I liked that each room was a little unique and we had a small balcony facing into the stairwell, which was cute.
Negative: The shower was broken and the bed was not particularly comfortable, but it was ok for a night.

Negative: - safe in the room not working - toilet flush was getting stuck - A friend came to visit me and since she came up to my room, they charged me $25 - breakfast is ok but not great - no AC in the room, gets hot.
Positive: I liked the outdoor space in the front was comfortable and nice. The breakfast was decent.
Negative: I didn’t like that the plugs were away from the beds and the shower was not easy to turn on. I asked for a airport pick up and they did not come and therefore had to find another way to the hotel. On the facilities it said there was air conditioning, but it was just a fan.

Positive: The breakfast was really good. The location is near major attractions. Uber picked us up right by the door.

Negative: Third floor room is right next to train tracks. Train runs Monday thru Friday starting at 5:30. At least 7 trains in succession with horn and strong vibrations. Maybe not as loud downstairs. Fine on weekends.
